the glaring#2(isn't it a pain that you have to read blogs in reverse order!)

Verity, one of Billies. Definitely NOT cuddly! She is Timmy's cat, and she only has eyes for him....in spite of the fact that I hand reared her, as she was the runt. She's not vicious, or anything. It's just that she runs and hides every time I so much as look at her. I mean..what does she think I'm going to do, for goodness sake! (Of course, Timmy doesn't believe me, because when he's home she's all over HIM like a lap-dog!). Consequently, here is the only existing picture of her, as she obviously is of the opinion that the camera is a GUN!

Nighty-night! xx
Gilligan, my only boy...and Kia's mate. He's a Russian-Blue/Siamese cross, and so handsome! Now he IS cuddly, to the point of being a nuisance (almost!) I can't sit down but that he lays claim to me from the waist up, using his arms to hold on tight! And he shares the underneath of my duvet with me, pinning me for the night! He is also unashamedly randy...poor Kia!!!

And lastly................................................................................

Loving her baby
Janey. We weren't sure she would survive, as she was born without a breastbone. This gave her a sort of flattened appearance! However, she is now 4 years old, and a delightful, gentle girl. She did have a litter...not planned, but she came into season very early....and was a loving mummy. Rather than risking her defect being passed on, we had her speyed. Janey loves affection, too, but she is shy. She needs to check that I'm alone before commiting to a cuddle. I set aside 'Janey-time', so that we are not interrupted by Gilligan et-all!

So, that's my 'glaring' of cats....and I wouldn't be without them!

The Glaring!

Well, now you know about Billie (who, incidently, has her own Blog!), so here is a bit about the rest!

Annie....my princess! She is Billies grand-daughter, and couldn't be more different (apart from the colour, that is). Her long coat comes from her fathers side...he was a long-hair black bengal. Annie was named after my Grandmother's cat, who was very similar. You'd have to go a long way to find a more loving girl...she positively DEMANDS her cuddles, announcing her approach from afar with loud chirruping, and running up onto my shoulder! What a darling. Annie was also a wonderful mother...even taking on kittens from my other mum, Verity...who was just plain lazy!!

A purr-fect fit!

Kia, a lovely chocolate-point siamese, and my only queen now, as the others have all been speyed. She was so tiny when I first brought her home, and wouldn't eat. Such a worry, but Annie came to the rescue, and suckled her with her own, much smaller babies! Kia is moody...sometimes wanting attention, and sometimes running off when I call to her. But, if I ignore her for too long, she SHOUTS at me, in the way only a siamese can! She is also an appalling thief...especially chocolates! I once discovered the mangled wrappers of at least 20 soft-center Quality Street hidden under the sofa.....and several hard-centers abandoned in the display dish, with little cat tooth-marks in them!!!(I feel the same way about hard centers!) Kia does produce beautiful kittens, though, so she is forgiven!
